Bollywood troubled actor Salman Khan is once again haunted by his mischievous past. This time, it’s not for the killing of the endangered Chinkara or running over some poor people sleeping on the street but to depose as a witness in a case involving the movie Chori Chori Chupke.

He appeared before the Special MCOCA Court yesterday (March 11) over the allegation by the city police that his film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke was made with the underworld’s money. His father Salim Khan said that his son has given a police statement regarding the persons he met before the making of the film. Shweta Agarwal, who was seen in the TV series Dekho Magar Pyar Se, is making her Hindi film debut in the next Vikram Bhatt movie Shaapit. In an interview to Metrolife, she opens up about life, her new movie and working with Vikram Bhatt. A science student, Shweta got into TV by luck. “I got noticed during my college festival and subsequently, was called by an ad agency. I went along because I got pocket money for shopping.” Soon she was playing Niki in the television serial. “I had actually gone to audition for something else but was told to audition for Niki instead. I was lucky to have landed that role.”

But it was a soap commercial alongside Aishwarya Rai, which brought her to the notice of Oliver Paulus for his Swiss-German production, Tandoori Love and the Turkish film, Miras. “I took the projects because I wanted to do a foreign language film. And the experience was a little different because everything was very organised. Soon as I landed, I got my one month itinerary and shooting schedule.”

About her first Hindi movie, she says, “I feel the director is the anchor of a movie. So it all depends on how he wants it to shape up. As an artiste, I have a relationship only with the camera.” Read more…

Karisma Kapoor delivers a baby boy

Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor has got another reason to celebrate. Today she gave birth to a baby boy at Mumbai Breach Candy Hospital. The entire Kapoor Khandan was there to welcome the new born. Both the mother and the baby are said to be in fine condition.

“Karisma has given birth to a baby boy. The delivery took place in the morning,” the hospital source said.

Karisma’s friend and jewelry designer Farah Khan Ali wished her on her Twiiter page. “Karisma Kapoor just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Many congratulations to her and her family,” Farah wrote. Read more…
